Chapter 01 — The Wall
One wall, six quiet presences
Each shoe keeps its own niche in the travertine, lit from above like something between a gallery and a chapel. Rest your cursor on a niche and its light wakes. Choose a shoe to come closer.
Prices are part of the concept. Nothing on this wall can be bought, reserved or shipped.
Chapter 02 — Craft
Two hundred hands of patience, in two hands
Before a shoe earns its niche, it passes through a bench like this one — cut, lasted, welted and stitched by hand, the way slow things have always been made.
The stitch is the signature
A STRATA upper is closed with a single waxed linen thread, pulled through by two needles working against each other. It is slower than any machine pass — and it is the line your eye reads first when the niche light comes up.
- 212bench operations in every pair
- 9 stitchesto the inch on the welt seam
- 3 daysresting on the last before finishing
- 1 hidecut for both shoes, so the grain agrees
Chapter 03 — The Fitting
A size is a small architecture
Choose a silhouette and a size, and the room tells you how that shoe intends to fit — where it holds, where it gives, and when to take the neighbouring size instead.

Fittings belong to the concept: no appointments are booked and no measurements are kept. If you are between sizes in a real fitting room, the STRATA rule is simple — take the larger, and let the leather come to you.
Chapter 04 — Boutique
The six, ready to be considered
The wall, brought down to hand height. Pick a size for any shoe and place it in your concept bag — the total keeps itself, and the till, being imaginary, stays politely closed.
Your concept bag
Nothing here yet. The wall is patient — so is the bag.

A Mir Labs concept — Case study
Imagine your product here.
STRATA was invented, written, filmed and built end to end by Mir Labs as a demonstration of what a small product world can feel like online: one explorable wall, real moving film, a fitting room that speaks, and a boutique that behaves — all moving at the speed of a heavy door on good hinges.
The world
An original fictional atelier — name, shoes, prices and words created for this concept. No real brand, no borrowed identity.
The build
Two real films, a six-niche wall with a slow zoom into every shoe, live size selection with a working concept total, and honest concept notices wherever a shop would normally take money.
The offer
Mir Labs designs and builds concept rooms and full websites for real products. If this room made you linger, imagine what yours could do.
